The Story

I think this picture tells a good story because it brings people together remembering or supporting something that they care about. And it can bring the emotion out in people and it attracts people.











Action and Emotion

I think this picture shows the most action because the 2 girls might have been trying some science experiment, but it went kinda wrong and made a reaction. But by the girls faces they are having fun, and they're amazed.











Filling the Frame

I think this picture "fills the frame" as most interesting because it looks mysterious with the smoke, and the welder's masks. The fire from the blowtorch makes a light that makes you focus on the 2 people and what they are doing.

I picked this photo because I am a fan of black and white photos.

Simplicity is used in this picture because most of the floor is black, and the person is in the center. And you can easily see that he is reading books, or studying.

Mural Project Review

I would make the theme from the ABLE academy, and what it has to offer. I would include pictures from the Criminal Justice classes, as well as Business. 

I think other students would care about this theme because there might be some students who might have interest in the ABLE academy but don't know about it. There could be pictures of CSI. CSI is where some seniors have the opportunity to join a program where they go to jails to experience working in an environment like that after high school.

Some advantages would be that the phone would be a good tool for this project because you can edit the pictures you take. Disadvantages would be that you have to much access to your phone while in class. 

Using the SLR camera is good because they can take very high resolution pictures. Disadvantages would be that you take pictures but you have to return to the computer to upload any pictures. 

I think we should use SLR cameras because I feel more comfortable using that instead of my phone. And other teachers or administration might not agree with us using our phones.

Great Black and White Photographers Part 3

The girl poking her head out of the water caught my attention because it looks like she's relaxing in the water. I chose this picture because it looks so cool in black and white.

I see that she feels relaxed.
I smell wet grass after it has rained.
I hear nothing but dead silence.
I feel the cold water that she's swimming in.
I taste the cold air.

I think if there was a big collage of all the black and white pictures he took and arrange them to create one image.

Africa Black and White

1. What was your favorite photo?

2. This was my favorite photo because I like that it is black and white, and the Cheetah is protecting her cubs and thats why it is my favorite photo.

3. I think this photo is Simplicity because the background is white with a touch of gray's and black's. But the background is clear enough for you to tell what the photographer wants you to look at. 

4. A) He uses a Pentax 67ll with only two fixed lenses.

B) To show the being of the animals, before they are no longer there.

C) His hope is to show how beautiful animals are and how we should protect them.

D) "I'm not interested in creating work that is simply documentary or filled with action and drama, which has been the norm in the photography of animals in the wild."
